Lydia was my first import to the UK, she arrived thin and afraid of her own shadow but with perserverance and loads of love she learned to trust me and the judges I put her infront of. In time she began to win many Reserve Best Bitch awards and was maturing nicely. She returned a good hipscore and was due to be mated the next season all being well but after LKA she became quiet and went off her food. Bloods tests revealed end stage renal failure with no outlook for her. She was given just a week or so to live away from the drip but through a careful diet and drugs she had a good quality of life for a further 6 weeks before the painful decision to let her go had to be made. Lydia leaves a huge gap and is a dog who stole my heart, we went through so much together but it was not to be. She will never be forgotten. I will also always be indebted to Ros Roden for her support and help during this heart breaking time, and also to her boys, Jogi, Moose, Lucca and Joey for their comfort, especaially Lucca for the loan of his sofa.
